What to expect

Enjoy a scenic drive in a comfortable and air-conditioned bus through the Greek countryside, where charming landscapes and olive groves unfold around you. Visit the Archaeological Site of Ancient Mycenae and discover its history and cultural significance from an expert tour guide.

Your first stop is the Corinth Canal that unites the Aegean Sea with the Corinth Gulf and the Adriatic. Completed in 1893, it cuts through the Isthmus of Corinth, providing a shortcut for maritime traffic. A quick stop allows you to take photos of this superb engineering marvel of the 19th century.

Right after, you'll arrive at the Archaeological Site of Ancient Mycenae. Set on rocky terrain with sweeping views of the Argolic Gulf, Mycenae has endured for many centuries as the crowning achievement of the Mycenaean world. Mythology recounts that Perseus, son of Zeus and Danae, founded the city.

You'll begin your exploration with the massive Cyclopean walls that still command awe thousands of years later. Marvel at the monumental Lion Gate, and visit the celebrated Treasure of Atreus. You'll also explore the Archaeological Museum of Mycenae, which houses a collection of artifacts and treasures.

After lunch in the village of Mycenae (Mykines), continue the journey to Nafplio, a picturesque coastal town known for its historical significance and charming atmosphere. Here you can stroll through the narrow streets, discover its Venetian and Ottoman influences, browse the local shops, or relax by the sea.
