The Castle of Haut-Kœnigsbourg was built in the 12th century. During its history, it has been the scene of many events and conflicts between kings, nobles and emperors. Initially owned by the Habsburgs, it was destroyed in 1462 and completely rebuilt at the beginning of the 20th century.
