What to expect
Explore the heart and soul of the French countryside on this Loire Valley tour. You'll be transported directly from Paris into this stunning region to discover fairytale castles, sample local wines, and experience some of France’s most beautiful scenery.
Hop on board an air-conditioned coach with your expert tour guide and escape to the French countryside. The first stop of the day will be at Château de Chambord, the largest castle in the valley. Disney fans may recognize this castle as the inspiration for ‘Beauty and the Beast’! You’ll hear about the strange history of this castle and after your guided tour, you’ll have some free time to explore more of the castle yourself, climb to the roof for spectacular views or even take a stroll around the grounds.
Having worked up an appetite, you'll get back on the bus and head to the quaint town of Blois. You’ll have some free time to enjoy lunch in one of the restaurants in Square Louis XII or grab a bite and visit the Royal Castle of Blois on your own.
Last but not least, you’ll tour the Château de Chenonceau. Inside, you'll be able to admire original stone carvings, large tapestries and beautiful period features and visit the chapel and bedrooms, furnished as in times gone by. The magic doesn't end inside the castle! Don’t miss the spectacular and beautiful bridge that spans the River Cher then venture into the grounds which were cultivated by the famous ladies who owned the home. You now have a difficult but delightful choice to make: you can continue to tour the castle or indulge in a wine tasting (three wines from the chateau’s vines) led by your guide in the Cave des Domes.

Meet your guide 15 minutes before departure at the entrance to the catacombs. He/She will be holding a sign up to identify themselves. To arrive at the Catacombs by Metro, please take Line 4 or Line 6 to the Denfert-Rochereau metro stop and exit using “Sortie 1”; the entrance to the Catacombs can be found directly across the street from this exit.
