Things to do in Inverness

Considered the capital of the Scottish Highlands, Inverness sits at the mouth of the River Ness, which flows from the famous Loch Ness. Attracting many tourists from around the world, the freshwater lake is home to a mythical monster, known as ‘Nessie’. On the banks of the loch also stands the ruins of Urquhart Castle, an ancient fortress and supposedly one of the best places to spot Nessie.
