Several castles have seen bloody battles and turned the tides in epic wars. They have become a steadfast part of Scottish history and are something you can’t miss!
Edinburgh Castle is one of the most famous, looming over the city on a mighty hilltop. Fans of the TV series Game of Thrones will recognize Doune Castle and watchers of Downton Abbey will have seen Inveraray Castle in a Christmas Episode. Stirling Castle is another important castle to visit, large and impressive in one of the most strategic points in the country.
