Built in the 1st century AD, this 50-meter high and 273-meter long Roman aqueduct is a Unesco World Heritage Site. This place is one of the most spectacular Roman monuments that remain in France and the only ancient 3-stage bridge still standing! At its feet flows the Gardon, a relaxing and swimming haven in summer. Music festivals, events, exhibitions, workshops, visits are organized throughout the year.

“Exhibits showing the route and structures of the whole 50km canal from Uzes to Nimes was highly insightful.Large scale representations of the Pont du Gard construction methods fascinating.I highly recommend visiting the museum in its large new building”
