Delfshaven is a small inner-city harbor and one of the few places in the city to survive the bombardments. Visit the picturesque harbor to discover the many intact historical buildings and experience what Rotterdam looked like before the war.

Delfshaven started as a colony of the city of Delf in 1389, becoming an independent city in 1795 and is nowadays considered a borough of Rotterdam.

Step inside the Pelgrimvaderskerk (Pilgrim Fathers Church) to learn about the Pilgrim's final service in 1620, before sailing to America. Go shopping in the canal houses which now hold antique stores and art studios. Taste the local flavors at one of the gin bars, De Pilgrim Brewery or the many eateries. Then, explore the old-school grain mill, De Destilleerketel, a landmark of historic Delfshaven.
