Discover the dishes and learn about the habits of the people of Marseille with this 3.5-hour food tour. Food is the best way to get into the culture of the city and Marseille has a lot to offer!
During this tour, you will taste some of the city’s specialties selected for you by locals. You will walk in one of the most beautiful areas of Marseille (Le Panier, Le Vieux port, Noailles ) and catch some history anecdotes! Here is a list of what you are possibly going to taste:
Panisse with Aioli
These discs made from chickpea flour are served with an Aioli sauce. It is now a Provençal specialty but is of Italian origin.
Roasted cheese with Pastis
Camembert, one of the most famous French cheeses. Here you will eat it with Pastis, a typical alcoholic drink of the region, and then roasted. Dip a crouton in it... delicious!
Typical Marseille restaurant
Enjoy a Marinated octopus salad, a delicious salad of marinated octopus with olive oil and honey. Linguine with clams, grilled bass, shrimps with bay leaves, crab salad, lamb epigram with rosemary, Italian sausage with candied onions.
