Lake Lucerne is situated in the heart of Switzerland and is one of the most famous destinations for lovers of the beauty of nature. Its complicated shape and the four arms extending into different valleys between towering mountains remind travellers of the landscape of the fjords.

Five historic paddle wheel boats and several other modern boats are active on several routes to reach the major excursion destinations like the cableways of the Rigi, of the Pilatus, of the Bürgenstock and of the Klewenalp. These destinations guarantee great hikes and excursions in summertime, and exciting skiing in wintertime. Several national cycling and walking trails cross the lake.
