Nestled in the heart of Northern England, the Yorkshire Dales National Park is an unmissable piece of Britain's natural heritage. This expansive park - established in 1954 – offers a diverse mix of river valleys, hills, caves and woodlands. With its rich wildlife and historical sites, a visit to the Yorkshire Dales National Park is essential on any trip to northern England.

Alongside various hiking trails – with hidden gorges, magical woodlands and endless scenic views – the park is home to UNESCO-site Fountains Abbey and the grounds of the Studley Royal Estate. More emblematic spots include Bolton Castle, Bolton Abbey and the dramatic Ribblehead Viaduct. The park is also dotted with quintessential stone-built villages, each brimming with their own rich history and distinctive charm.

When it comes to waterfalls, the Yorkshire Dales doesn’t fall short. The three-stepped waterfalls of Aysgarth Falls is the best known. This dramatic scene has been visited by famous British poets, artists and was even used as a setting for the Hollywood movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves – you can’t get better than that.
